The second one includes my tutor (SWMNBN) who is this amazing teacher when it comes to English, thanks to her, my booklist has increased exponentially. Woot! Incidentally, she taught DW when she was at NIE too!
We had a lot of fun during the presentation and I think having the costumes made the whole lesson more enjoyable.
I found that during the last week, there were times when I couldn't even study/do work for more than 15 min and yet there were times when I could do in 1 hr what used to take me 3hrs or more(sort of like a supercharged learning machine). I think it's about when the stress level is just right and your body uses it like a shot of NO2 into your engines(if u've seen Fast and Furious or Initial D, u know what I mean)
All in all, I'm glad that the past week has shown that there are times when I can do it, I just need to re-create the same conditions to boost my learning speed permanently.
DW has been sick all week and so have spent a bit more time taking care of her and trying not to fall sick myself. As usual, staying happy has helped a great deal!
It was at the end of the school year, and a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her pupils.
The florist's son handed her a gift. She shook it, held it overhead, and said, "I bet I know what it is. Some flowers." "
That's right" the boy said, "but how did you know?"
"Oh, just a wild guess," she said.
The next pupil was the candy shop owner's daughter.
The teacher held her gift overhead, shook it, and said, "I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets."
"That's right, but how did you know?" asked the girl.
"Oh, just a wild guess," said the teacher.
The next gift was from the son of the liquor store owner. The teacher held the package overhead, but it was leaking. She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and touched it to her tongue.
"Is it wine?" she asked.
"No," the boy replied, with some excitement.
The teacher repeated the process, taking a larger drop of the leakage to her tongue.
"Is it champagne?" she asked.
"No," the boy replied, with more excitement.
The teacher took one more taste before declaring, "I give up, what is it?"
With great glee, the boy replied, "It's a puppy!"
Oh yeah, went down to Chinatown Point on Sat to watch Kids Central's One Minute of Fame as Ros Atrisya was participating as part of Tres Roses in the Group Section. They came in 6th but I think they had a lot of fun! The atmosphere was so loud that there were many times when I had to cover my ears just to protect them (sort of like an LPS assembly on Monday!).
I was really proud of her for following her dream and trying their best, I only managed to catch the results but I'm sure someone will post the video soon.
Cheerz! =)
