After going through an unforgettable experience last week at Outward Bound School, I guess it's only right that I put down a few heartfelt words as a form of reflection.
Going through the course was amazing, not only because I managed to make 28 new friends, but I had a chance to experience how far I was willing to push myself in spite of overwhelming odds and conditions.
WASHINGTON ROCKS!
As I don't want to spoil the fun for others who may be attending the future Adaptability and Resilience courses at OBS, I won't go into much detail about what happened. Whether it was the weather (I have become accustomed to being drenched and shivering) or the food(the many methods of cooking maggi mee) or the various expeditions(row and row and row, walk and walk and walk), everything was bearable because I was never alone.
There was always someone to share a joke with, or kaopei to or share the burden/load with. And that is something that I will remember, as my blisters dry up (ewww...) and my 'blue-black' bits vanish and my aches and pains disappear.
Thanks guys and gals (or bros and sisses) for a wonderful time! Would I do it again? You bet!
p.s. oh yea and we met PM Lee!
