Many thanks to JL for her enlightening advice on Blogger templates... =)
This week has been supersonic. I wished that I had another week to rest from this week's activities! Other than straightening out my blog, I popped into LPS on Wednesday and Thursday to do prepare and plan. I am so happy that I managed to finish my term paper on classroom management much earlier than usual.
RECAP:
Monday I had to go down to SA Travel at Chinatown to extend the validity for a travel voucher which DW received as a lucky draw prize. We're supposed to use it for the June trip. The lady who helped me was quite nice although there was an admin charge. Bought some eggtarts as specially requested by DW.
Tuesday Sent DW to Jurongville SS for the xiangqi competition. Her students were their usual noisy selves. I had to send Snowy(DW's dog) to the vet with MIL. The vet told us that Snowy was in the midst of changing her coat of fur(I never knew dogs could do that!), so she would be shedding a lot of fur. MIL then realised how expensive it costs to bring Snowy to the vet. $180 for consultation and medicine! Being an animal doctor can be quite lucrative! Dinner was chicken rice steamboat at Golden Mile Complex. Yum!
Wednesday DW was so pleased when I finished my work that we went to GWC for dinner and a show. Dinner was at Vientai. The food was not too bad, reminded me of Thai Express and Siam Kitchen. We caught No Country For Old Men at GV. Lovely show, lots of dark humour and good pace. Definitely something I would recommend if you are looking for something a litte less Hollywood and with a more indie feel. They picked up 4 Oscars (Best Picture, Screenplay, Director and Supporting Actor) in 2007.

Popped into my friend's place after school for a 'high tea' and it was fun to share our experiences in school. The food was good and the conversation was great! Kirk finally passed the photos to me from the night at Poetry Slam.
Thursday Went to school to submit my term paper. Basically, everyone is back just to do this. I had some time to chat with my tutor as I wanted to get her advice on how I could help some of my students. By the time I reached home, I was pretty tired but decided to prepare dinner for DW anyway. Fried beehoon (I am getting better at it!)
Friday Woke up early to boil some barley water as DW had asked and my throat was signalling to me that it was about to give up. After lunch, I went to pick up MIL as we were going to Kimage for hair treatment (yes, for BOTH of us, courtesy of DW). My first experience in terms of hair treatment, so it was an eye-opener as well. Now I know what rich tai-tais do at the hair salons with their husbands' money! Quite enjoyable, although I don't know how much my hair benefitted(especially when it was trimmed short). Usual 'dry-swim' session in the evening.
I had to report to the NLB that a book I returned had been wrongly reflected as still checked out. The lady I spoke to on the phone promised me that she would file a report and the NLB would let me know the outcome of their investigation.
******** And today, I'm typing this entry at Starbucks while waiting for DW(she's at a xiangqi competition at Kampong Glam) feeling tired and wondering whether I've become immune to coffee.
Recipe for Anthony:
a)Get 5 cups of humour, stir thoroughly till bubbles appear
b)Add in 1 teaspoon of common sense
c)Stir in 1 small bowl of respect marinated with honesty
d)Soak in humility for 15 minutes
e)Fry with some determination until satisfied
f)Garnish with as much enthusiasm as required
Bon Appetit!
