In about 2 more weeks, I will be reporting in to CPS to start a 'new family'. Everything is fresh because I don't know anyone over there at all. Normally, this should be very traumatic but I hope that I will get over the initial awkwardness quickly as it is just another obstacle in my life.
This doesn't mean that I am abandoning my 'old family'. I still miss them but I will do my best to stay in contact. Given this is Singapore and we are spread out over less than 700 sq. km, it should not be so difficult. In fact, I received a call 2 days ago from one of the teachers inviting me to a get-together at another teacher's place on Saturday. I felt very flattered that they remembered me! I can only hope that my 'new family' is as warm!
Spent the whole of yesterday tidying up my study area as DW was started to complain about the mess. Well, they say that a messy work place is the sign of a genius. =)
I was surprised to find that all the children's books that I bought over the last 11 months can now be stacked to a height of more than 1m!

I had to arrange them alphabetically so that it will be easier to find. Although it is only 2 and a half shelves worth of books, I think I will need to find more space next year. =)
I must confess that I have become quite 'addicted' to collecting these books. During my stint at LPS, I made it a point to share books with students as well as teachers. Hopefully, they have enjoyed the books and will continue to share with others in future.
I discussed with DW about the possibility of a dedicated set of book shelves but I think it will take some time for her to be convinced. Well, I will tackle that problem when it happens.
